Race Updates
Race Update #2 - Well, the snow is gone and it was actually hot during our latest scouting trip. So our first reminder is to be prepared for the weather which could range from 80 to 40. The course is now complete and we'll give you a few hints to get ready. The Bike course is a mix of fire trails, single track and hike-a-bike sections. The New Balance Adventure Run will include lots of vertical. Both sections includes loads of navigation choices. Finally, the kayak section will be fairly short but we'll make up for it in Hartford. We tested out the new kayaks at our camp, they work well and are self-bailing, a.k.a. you'll be sitting in water during the paddle.
Race Update #1 - Our scouting trips to Ringwood so far have been in the snow and cold. We're still waiting for rideable conditions to create the mt. bike course. The New Balance Adventure Run has some great terrain and lots of options for navigation. With trails criss-crossing all over, you should sharpen those map-reading skills prior to April 26th.
