Race Updates

Race Update #4 - Posted Aug.7th - THE RACE IS ON! See you on Saturday!

Race Update #3 - The Allamuchy course is set now. There will be some significant off-trail travel. You may want to consider long pants for the trekking section as there are significant amounts of prickers and blueberry bushes that will leave their mark. Shorts will work fine for the kayak and bike sections. It is likely to be hot so bring plenty of fluids, you'll pass through the transition area several times during the race to refill.

The park has reserved the right to cancel the event if they feel it's too wet on the trails. We'll hope that won't happen, our first rain date is Sunday, Aug. 10th.
Race Update #2 - We've now made several runs to Allamuchy's Deer Park Section. The trails are great, but the venue will provide us with a few challenges. We've had to get creative to fit in our paddle section, but we're happy with our results now. The biking is great and the trekking will provide lots of off-trail travel options. Be ready for multiple maps to get through this course.

Race Update #1 - We've yet to visit Allamuchy, but we've heard lots about it. We can tell you that we're going to add a free navigation clinic on Friday from 4-5pm for anyone who would like some tips on map & compass work. We'll be starting our scouting trips shortly, check back for more race hints.
